Top 10 mountain massifs in Kinnaur

Kinnaur is a popular destination in India among nature activists, mountain lovers, and adventure enthusiasts. It is one of the best places in India where people can really enjoy the offerings of Nature and the blissful environment prevailing around. There are some important mountain massifs in Kinnaur district, and I have elaborated them below as per their importance and geographical position.

.Jorkanden: Jorkanden is one of the most important and distinguished peaks in the Kinnaur Kailash range and is mostly perceptible and illuminates during twilight when the sun begins to set below the horizon creating a wonderful scene across the mountain massif. It is more than 6000 m above sea level.

.Kinnaur Kailash: Kinnaur Kailash is one of the high-altitude massifs in Kinnaur and is easy to identify due to the presence of geometrical diversions around its entire surface and a treat to watch. It is the neighbor of the mighty Jorkanden mountain massif.

.Raldang: Raldang is one of the most distinguished peaks in the range due to the presence of elongated and thick projection on its zenith and can be seen from Kalpa. Raldang also has some trigonometrical diversions on its surface so it is easy to spot this mountain massif from the region.

.Chokas Rang: Chokas Rang is one of the smaller massifs in Kinnaur Kailash belt that can be seen from the district but remains a mystery and shy mountain as it is not visible most of the time due to bad weather conditions and clouds. It resembles more like a concave structure lying beneath the clouds.

.Daboling: Daboling is situated just left to Raldang and is one of the shining peaks in the region with its glowing appearance. Although smaller in size as compared to other important peaks, this peak remains to be cryptic and is a delight to watch from Kalpa and Reckong Peo for all-mountain lovers and wanderlust entrepreneurs across the globe.

.Leo Pargial: Leo Pargial is the highest peak of the Kinnaur district and is visible from the east of Reckong Peo. It is situated at a height close to 7000 m above sea level. The surface of this mountain is mostly dome-shaped with a thick elongated triangle at the top and covered with snow throughout the year.

.Phawarang: Located at an altitude of more than 6000 m above sea level is Phawarang which is situated in  Himachal Pradesh.

.Granite Peak: The peak is mostly triangular in shape and appearance. Although the exact height of the mountain peak is unknown and remains a mystery, the peak looks ravishing and splendid in the afternoon hours and during twilight. The entire peak is covered with snow throughout the year. The Leo Pargial is its neighbor and situated to its left. There are granite rocks in the base camp that makes the site more attractive and enjoys complete distinction as compared to other mountain camps.

.Rangrik Rang: Situated in the south of the Kinnaur district, Rangrik Rang is situated in the Western Himalayas. Few glaciers emanate from this mountain giant and are one of the high elevated and renowned mountain peaks.

.Ninjeri: Ninjeri means pure mountain and is one of the least known mountain massifs in the Kinnaur district that lies to the left of Granite peak and Leo Pargial massif. Although I haven’t been lucky enough to spot this mountain giant, the characteristics of this peak are unknown, and some research is going on to explore further its features.
